Alterations Pricing

At the first fitting, your gown will be assessed for fit and pinned accordingly. This assessment will place the amount of work to be done into one of the following categories. Please explore below for category pricing and what each level of alteration may entail:

Standard Alterations $500-$650

  • Shortening straps/shoulders

  • Hemming 1-3 layers

  • Minor tailoring at side seams

  • Bustle 5 points or less

  • Plain crepe and plain satin fabrics

Polished Alterations $700-$900

  • Standard alterations, plus…

  • Additional hemming of layers

  • Removing a train

  • Lace applique edging

  • Horsehair, beadwork

  • Bust contouring/reshaping

  • 5+ bustle points for large gowns

Couture Alterations $950-$1400

  • Standard or embellished alterations plus…

  • Custom sleeves

  • Custom design elements

  • Lining a sheer bodice

  • Gown reinventions

  • 7+ bustle points

Heirloom Redesign $200-$700

For vintage gowns that need some love and tailoring! Heirlooms are our most favorite projects to work on, and each one is a labor of love to preserve the look and integrity of the dress. 

Price is subject to increase based on the gown and the restyling, but typical work includes:

  • Hemming to tea length

  • Taking in or out

  • Reshaping bust and adding cups

  • Cleaning lace and removing yellowed sequins and beads

  • Creating a robe out of an existing dress (starts at $200)
