About Me

Hi! My name is Hannah, and I am the owner and seamstress at Heirlooms. I have been sewing since I was 7, and have obsessed over wedding dresses even before that. I have been altering wedding gowns for 8 years now and my love for gowns has only grown.

It’s grown so much in fact that I designed and sewed my own wedding dress for my wedding in August 2024, shown in the photo on this page. (I also made my husband’s suit, but I can tell you more about that during your first fitting…).

I named my business Heirlooms because of my love of family and my passion for shared objects. An heirloom may be passed down to family members, but I also believe that something that is shared amongst friends or neighbors can be an heirloom in it’s own right. Sharing a veil with your friend, using the lace from your mothers gown, or buying a secondhand gown is what Heirlooms is all about: sharing objects for a more meaningful and sustainable life!

I hope to meet you soon and help you celebrate your wedding with a beautiful gown!
